The Liberty varsity girls’ golf team teed off the season with two league wins, and they are excited to carry this momentum into their next match; however, they need to wait an unusually long three weeks before competing again.
After multiple driving lessons, a written exam, and scraping by with a 80% on the driving test, freedom is awarded with a plastic card– a driver’s license. However this isn’t the case for freshman Madilyn Knox, who participates in wheel to wheel racing, otherwise known as road racing.
Most students only get to see a Liberty Drill performance during sports or assemblies, but their season runs longer than that of many other sports. And this season, for the first time in five years, Liberty Drill competed at the USA Dance Nationals competition.
Liberty Boys Varsity Soccer started this year extremely new as the core of last year’s successful team successfully departed for college. They have had to navigate the rough seas of building chemistry throughout the season in order to achieve their goal of winning KingCo. One specific aspect of their team this year has been helpful in this fight is Kellen Kobata’s Quote of the Day. The belief around the team is as follows: by believing in the quote of the day, they will become a team full of chemistry demons.
