“Over or under 2.5 bites?”
These words may ring a bell, as they come from a familiar face to Liberty Patriots, senior Hansen Fan.
Commonly known as hungryhungryhanny, Fan is a known influencer from Liberty high school with 448,000 subscribers on YouTube. He has a large presence on YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok.
Fan engages his audience with trends and food challenges. This includes attempting to consume a multitude of foods in as little amount of bites as possible, and trying to consume the entirety of a chipotle burrito without spilling. He has created a community well known to Liberty students.
“It was great to have my first followers be my friends at Liberty. They support me every day,” Fan said.
Fan started posting on YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok at the same time. He often talks of his support system who have been his foundation in creating this content empire.
“My friends help me out a lot by being funny in a lot of my videos. My parents also support me in many ways. They are the main reason I continue to further my career in content,” Fan said.
His fan base started small. However, through all the hard work Fan put into his channel, subscribers started to pour in.
“I’m surprised it took off in such a short amount of time. I still remember my first reel that went viral. I think it has around 15 million views now,” Fan said.
Fan’s YouTube channel, Instagram, and TikTok grew quickly. He claims to love what he does and is eager to witness the future of all his social media handles.
“I’m really excited about what’s coming. It’s cool to think about,” Fan said.
Though Fan is excited about the future of his social media handles, he remains focused on his academics. He continues to attend Running Start at Bellevue College and plans to attend a 4-year college.
“I will continue to film at whatever college I go to. It’ll be really cool to engage in a new environment with new people,” Fan said.
Though the future is unknown, Fan remains positive and focuses on the present.
“I am so grateful for the platform I have right now,” Fan said.
Fan’s impact on and off of social media has made a difference within the Liberty community. His friends, family, and the Liberty student body look forward to what lies in his future.
“I am proud of Hansen for making it this far, and I am excited to witness what he does next,” senior and friend Andrew Kang said.
