Q: What’s popular this year?
L’Cafe:
“People seem to be liking the treats. Fresh-baked items are always popular. Also, I have never seen the coffee cart so busy. It’s almost like we’re too small for how busy we are.”
- L’Cafe Advisor Zarah Matsuda.
DECA store:
“Our grilled cheese is very popular. It’s kind of our staple dish. Our smoothies are good as well. The strawberry is one of the most bought flavors.”
- DECA Store Staff Member Lora Doytcheva (10)
Q: What’s your favorite part of your store?
L’Cafe:

- L’Cafe Staff Member Brian Heyer (10)
We also have a lot of seasonal stuff with different themes.”
- L’Cafe Staff Member Milo Armstrong (10)
DECA store:
“[DECA Teacher Chris Gapinski] really teaches you how to self-star. It’s really nice. I think it can get really stressful too, though.”
- DECA Store Staff Member Sena Manjali (10)
“It funds the DECA chapter, in fact, this is where we get the majority of our money from,”
- DECA Store Staff Member Sophomore Lora Doytcheva (10)
Q: What makes your store special?
L’Cafe:
“I love the energy of a kitchen. I love that stress and chaos. I also think it’s important to note that almost everything created does come from the students. It’s their ideas or their recipes or their choices.”
- L’Cafe Advisor Zarah Matsuda.
DECA store:
“What makes the store special is that it’s run by… the DECA students, who are trying to gain exposure to the operations of a business.”
- DECA Store Staff Member Kavinmadhi Malar (10)
