Spirit days keep the stress away

You’re walking down the hall and you pass Tigger, Pikachu, and Sully from Monsters Inc. But you’re not in Disneyland–you’re in Liberty and it’s pajama day!

Spirit days at Liberty are a breath of fresh air. Seeing everyone dress up in exciting (and often bizarre) outfits is a fun change of pace from the day-to-day monotony of school.

They are a fun way to bring and endorse school spirit amongst students, giving students a way to show their support for their school in a way that they enjoy. The united efforts of students and grade-classes to have the largest number of students dress up is an effective way to unify the Liberty community.

But spirit days aren’t just for students–they’re also for teachers! Seeing a teacher dressed in an obscure outfit is sure to brighten anyone’s morning, regardless of whether they may have an impending unit test in their class or not.

And most importantly, spirit days are just plain fun! They give students an excuse to twin with friends or wear their favorite pajama bottoms on what would have otherwise have been another ordinary day.

So perhaps next time it’s the middle of December, your brain is fried, and you’re blessed with pajama day, take a moment to recognize the blessing that has been bestowed upon you–it’s probably one you didn’t even realize you had.
