ASB’s unnoticed work deserves our thanks

Many people think ASB is simply AP Poster Making. While ASB does make amazing posters to decorate the walls of our school, it shouldn’t be the only thing they are known for. ASB here at Liberty does so much to improve our school for the better while creating an environment where more people actually want to be at school.

One of the more ambitious projects that ASB takes on each year is homecoming. They work tirelessly for the first month and a half of school to make sure it goes off without a hitch. The execution might not seem to hard, but in reality is takes the dedication of all the ASB members and many more volunteers. They spend weeks coming up with themes, cutting decorations, and planning spirit days. The result? An amazing spirit week with an equally amazing dance to top it all off.

ASB is one of the most underappreciated groups at our school which is not fair to all the work they do. Along with making the school a more festive place through spirit days, they keep spirit high with assemblies. Just think about how much time, practice, and effort goes into a single assembly.

Not to mention, they keep the school running. ASB is in charge of distributing funds for all the clubs and sports at the school. Participate in Key Club, Battimition Club, or Robotics? Play soccer, tennis, or swim? ASB makes sure these activities can continue at the school. Imagine being in their shoes next time and think of all the time they put into it next time attend you attend a club or participate in a sport.

Next time you see a member of ASB or Munson, make sure to give them a genuine thanks for all the blood, sweat, and tears they put in to make Liberty High School a fun and inviting place for everyone.
