2nd year managers:
Sotriya Tea (12)
Q: What are some of your favorite drink specials?
A: Peach iced tea, which is fresh peaches with freshly brewed tea!
Q: How do all the managers work together?
A: We have this Google Doc that we can all access and edit. It has our to-do list so we know what tasks need to be done.
Greggory Shine (12)
Q: Why did you start taking culinary classes?
A: I was planning on taking DECA for all four years, but my sister told me to do culinary instead.
Q: What’s your favorite part?
A: Getting to see the passion in all the Culinary One students. It’s amazing to see kids just as excited as me and see the passion in their hearts.
Harrison Saino (12)
Q: Is there anything you’re excited for this year for the L’Cafe?
A: We typically do some kind of dinner for the spring musical. If we’re doing that this year, I’m excited for it, because I got to do it last year.
Q: What’s your favorite dish that L’Cafe has ever made?
A: There was this Italian panini we made last year that I really enjoyed because I’m an Italian guy.
Jeremy Lewis (12)
Q: What’s your favorite part of being a manager?
A: Not having to do the dishes.
Q: What’s your favorite dish from the L’Cafe?
A: It’s kind of basic, but I really like the grilled cheese we make.
Gabriel Mendoza Acoltzi (12)
Q: What drew you to culinary class?
A: My passion for cooking. I started during COVID and I would go into the kitchen and make whatever I could find. I learned from tutorials, so when I heard there was a culinary class here I wanted to take it.
Q: What is your favorite part of being a manager?
A: Making different types of food ideas. I’m mostly into drinks, so I come with a lot of random drinks that I think are really fun. I’ve been thinking of making a whipped honey latte.
Grace Howie (11)
Q: What is your favorite part of being a manager?
A: Just helping out the Culinary 1’s . It’s funny helping them because they’re really new to the L’Cafe and they’re super interested in stuff.
Q: Is there anything you want students to know about the L’Cafe?
A: Appreciate what the managers do because it’s actually really hard and they deserve a lot of credit for it.
3rd year manager:
Eleanor Briggs (12)
Q: What’s the difference between being a 2nd or 3rd year manager?
A: It kind of feels the same. I just have more catering jobs.
Q: What is your favorite part of being a manager?
A: I really like to boss people around.
