“I don’t know what really inspires me to dress up, but I can say that what I wear affects my mood a lot. If I have on something really nice it helps me feel happy, or even more confident. I’ve liked to dress up since I was very young: my mom would tell me things like, ‘You match this with that, and that color with this one.’ It’s really fun; it’s an art form―I love mixing different textures. My aesthetic is kind of artsy, and very preppy. I like to wear businesswear once in a while as well, and a little bit of grunge goes in too. It’s my form of expressing myself―you shouldn’t be afraid to dress up. if there’s a way you can dress that makes you feel like yourself, you should go for it!”
