“I’ve been baking since I was in third grade. I bake for fun and bring it to school. Cakes are my favorite things to bake because you get to decorate them. I also love making things with choux pastry, like cream puffs and eclairs. I think the most difficult thing I’ve ever baked is macarons, because they’re really hard to make and even more difficult to master. But I’ve made them a lot so I think I’ve got them down. For baking, everyone tells me that I must enjoy the process of baking. But I love the end result. Getting to see something amazing that you’ve made is the best. I also make handmade scrunchies. I noticed they were really expensive and decided to make them myself out of my old clothes. I used to sew a lot, and making scrunchies gave me a chance to continue to do that. I decided to start selling them. It just kind of took off from there.”
