Girls soccer

Following two state championship wins, Liberty’s girls soccer program is full of experienced returners who are determined to continue their winning streak.
Unlike previous years, the varsity team has no freshmen. There is also no C-team due to a smaller turnout at tryouts.
One thing, however, remains the same: the intensity and commitment of the players. Just by watching them play, you can tell how serious they are about the sport.
“Our goal for this season is not to be too cocky about what we’ve accomplished the past two years because we have won the state championship twice,” senior captain Taylor Elfstrom said. “We can’t go into it thinking that we are going to win.”
