Coming off of three straight State championships and being a very young team for the first time in a while, the Liberty boys golf team was expecting post-season to be an uphill climb. Yet despite these daunting circumstances, the team was able to qualify six players for the spring district tournament, including Nolan, Jack Hultquist (11), Mike Hatfield (11), Chase McAllister (11), Mason Moger (11), and Riley Marshall (9). From this group, Nolan and Hultquist advanced to the state tournament where they placed 16th and 10th respectively. The team placed fifth in state overall. “My favorite part from state was knowing that there were just two of us–me and Jack–representing our school. In the coming years I hope to improve by working hard and helping those around me,” Nolan said.
