Lacrosse aims high under new leadership
May 8, 2014
With the addition of new assistant coach Todd Taylor, the Liberty Lacrosse program is aiming for continued success in their division. The team has an automatic bid into the play offs but they want to improve their standing and make it as deep as possible.
The team is changing up their practice regime by incorporating different ways to do drills.
“Our team is doing well this year” Captain Wyatt Johnson said. “We have improved a lot and are making great progress with the addition of Todd Taylor as well as the continued leadership from Coach Blair.”
Lacrosse is currently 3-3 and are looking to improve despite losses to Eastlake and Skyline.
“Our start isn’t as good as we hoped but with the gains the team has been making in practice, we are confident that we will be able to make it deep into the play offs.”
Wyatt added that sophomore goalie Tanner Evans has been stepping it up.
“Tanner has been doing a great job in goal. He is a key part of our success.”
The new additions to the team as well as the new leadership will guarantee great success for the program this year and in the coming years.
