David Rand, freshmen, and captain Connor Biehl took their marks before the hundred yard backstroke in a meet against Bellevue High School. Connor went on to win the race, qualifying for districts in the process.  This was David’s first time racing in a varsity heat. “I was really excited to be in a scoring position in our first meet”, David said. “All the energy and the tension really make you swim faster”.
