Chick-fil-a sauce is NOT worth the hype

Yes, you read that right. Chick-fil-a sauce is just not good.

I remember the first time I went to Chick-fil-a. I was maybe seven or eight at the time. My sister, who is three years older than me, was raving about this sauce, hyping it up the whole ride there. She told me how “life-changing” it was.

As soon as we got there, I was out of the car and yanking the front door open. I went up to the counter, ordered a thing of chicken nuggets, a vanilla milkshake, and of course, a side of the legendary sauce itself.

I was excited out of my mind. On my tippy-toes, I was peering over the counter while watching my chicken nuggets getting made. After putting everything in the bag, the worker plopped it onto the counter and called out “Number 89.” It was go time.

I grabbed the bag, sat down, and shoved a nugget into my mouth—with the sauce on it, don’t worry—and I was immediately underwhelmed. Not only was the sauce overpowering the taste of the nugget, but it also just didn’t taste good. I’m not sure what I was expecting, but it definitely wasn’t what I got. Based on my sister’s description, I was going to get the perfect balance of flavors, but what I got was far from that.

I was crushed.

To this day, I can never look at Chick-fil-a the same way again. The swing from the excitement of trying the sauce to the crushing disappointment of the taste will forever haunt me.
