Put your mask on . . . correctly, please

A year ago, I wouldn’t have expected the sight of someone’s uncovered nose to arouse such anger in me. I am talking, of course, about the incorrect mask wearers. The people who wear their masks like chin guards. Fun fact: your nose breathes out! It exhales particles! Those particles could have Covid-19 in them! And don’t forget that breathing goes two ways—meaning you’re not just hurting others when you wear a chin mask, you’re hurting yourself. Just wearing a mask over your mouth is essentially the same as wearing no mask at all, which is to say, putting the health of anyone who comes close to you in danger. Seriously, it’s not that hard. Get a mask that fits. Put it on your face. Keep it there. If healthcare workers, retail workers, or literally anyone else can do it, so can you.
