The beauty of late start snow days

Mandy Latham, Senior Writer

With all the snow days that we have had recently the possibility of late starts has increased. Those snowy white mornings meaning more to you than a planned school day off since they come at the most unexpected time. You breathe a sigh of relief as you get to turn over and close your tired eyes. The class periods are shortened, teachers seem to smile more, and you might be able to get those eight hours of precious sleep. Snow days make the week seem shorter and joyful with snow covering everything, acting as a way to de-stress. Don’t take these precious days for granted, after all, we live in Western Washington where this rarely happens. So, yes, we applaud this, nasty weather, as it adds sleep to our normally mind numbing first two hours in the morning.
