What’s good: Smiling in the rain

Karinn Sytsma, Editor in Chief

Seattle may be known for its rainy weather, but its inhabitants don’t seem to have a very sunny attitude towards the clouds. But rain should be cherished and loved just as much as any other weather. It’s not an annoying inconvenience, but my favorite opportunity to bundle up in favorite sweaters and jackets, and a great excuse for me to slurp seasonal hot drinks to keep warm.  It’s the perfect time to unleash my inner kid by putting on rain gear and going splashing in puddles, or getting into splash fights with my friends. Rain allows me to let loose and not care about getting wet as long as I’m having a good time. And sometimes, when none of those activities seem appealing, at least I can be satisfied by the fact that the rain keeps everything in the world alive.
