Yesterday (Wednesday) morning, Head Football Coach and humanities teacher Steve Valach received a Coach of the Week award for his devotion and success in coaching football, presented by the Washington Army National Guard and the Seahawks. This year, the Liberty football team is on a 5-0 winning streak, and part of their success is doubtlessly owed to the coach. “Coach Valach is a great teacher on the football field, in the classroom, and most of all in living a successful life. He is a great role model for the Liberty community, and this award reflects the contributions he has made in both football and English,” Athletics Director Loren Krogstad said.
