Last week, senior Quinn Magendanz won the Century Link High School Athlete of the Week award for his outstanding performance in school and multiple sports. He has not only achieved letters in both football and wrestling, but has also maintained a 4.0 while taking several AP classes. He was second team all-league soccer goalie, has helped raise money for Relay for Life, and is in his fourth year of ROTC. “Quinn is about excellence in every aspect of his life,” head football coach Steve Valach said. He was nominated anonymously for the award, which he was presented with last week to the applause of the student body, his parents, grandparents, and representatives of Century Link and the Seattle Seahawks. “Quinn is not the only student athlete at this school, but he is clearly a great example of one of the most accomplished, and is a great representative of the things students are capable of at Liberty High School,” athletics director Loren Krogstad said.
