2023-2024 ASB Executive Board Q&A

Caitlyn Mckinzie, Editorial Board

  • Nidhi Achanta (President)
    • Question: What are you most excited for next year?
    • Answer: I’m excited to be a part of the community at a new level. Things like assemblies, spirit weeks, adding new traditions, multicultural night, and homecoming will be really fun!
    • Question: If you could replace all the grass in the world with something else, what would it be?
    • Answer: Not good to replace since it’s bad for the environment. Synthetic grass with a timer to replicate seasons.
  • Rilee Pham (Vice President)
    • Question: What improvements are you looking forward to making at Liberty?
    • Answer: Making Liberty one inclusive community, where everyone and every group belongs and works with each other. I’d like to work on that as much as possible.
    • Question: Is cereal a soup? Tell me why (not).
    • Answer: Yes because it’s a liquid with things inside of it. If you say that it isn’t a soup, then other soups would no longer be considered soups, like cream based soups.
  • Shelby Mallard (Secretary)
    • Question: What was your favorite part of campaigning?
    • Answer: I loved recording the videos because everybody’s in one place and it’s super fun. Also being able to talk directly to people.
    • Question: Are hotdogs sandwiches? Tell me why (not).
    • Answer: Yes. I have a whole philosophy. There’s only four things in this world: salad, sandwiches, soup and blah___
  • Madeleine Bascao (Treasurer)
    • Question: What is your favorite part about being in ASB?
    • Answer: We get to make a positive impact on the school! We try to make the school more inclusive and engaging for everyone.
    • Question: If you could make up a conspiracy theory, what would it be?
    • Answer: Our world is a small molecule of another, bigger world.
  • Henry SPN (Male Senator)
    • Question: How do you plan to improve student life?
    • Answer: This year the exec board is super tight. Whatever we will be doing, we will be as one unit. We’re going to be bouncing our ideas off of each other and improving them together. We’re going to improve student life by being a really tight team. We are like the Avengers.
    • Question: If you could make any spirit day you wanted, no limits, what would it be?
    • Answer: Everyone gets their own mount. You can take a horse or a goat but you have to ride it throughout the halls the entire day.
  • Taylor Curtis (Female Senator)
    • Question: If you could change one thing about Liberty, what would it be?
    • Answer: I’d probably change it back to the block schedule or get rid of homeroom.
    • Question: Would you survive in The Last of Us?
    • Answer: I’d like to think I’d survive … but I know I die within a week.
