Clubs at Liberty

Are you interested in baking with friends? Then the baking club is the club for you! Joining clubs is a great way to collaborate with like-minded people and get more involved in the Liberty community. With the variety of clubs we have at Liberty, there is something for everyone.
ART CLUB:
Meets Thursdays in room 5121, 3-4pm
“Art club is a fun environment where we all get to express ourselves artistically without any curriculum.” – Junior Rachel Hoff (president)
BADMINTON CLUB:
Meets every Wednesday morning in the Upper Gym, 9-10am
“There’s a lot of people in the badminton club, you can ask anybody to play with them. If you are looking for a way to exercise, it’s wonderful.” – Junior Emilie Duran (club member)
BAKING CLUB:
Meets every other Tuesday in room 4212, 3-4pm
“In baking club, we bake a new recipe with all of our members. It’s a time where students are able to be with their friends and bake when they might not have the resources at home to do so.” – Junior Ashley Morales (president)
BOOK REVIEW CLUB:
Meets the third Wednesday of every month in the Library, 9:30-10am
“It’s a typical book club where we get to enjoy each other’s company, talk about books, and decide what we’re going to read next. Anyone who loves reading should join.”

CHESS CLUB:
Meet Tuesdays in room 5201, 3-4pm
“At chess club, we mainly focus on playing a ton of chess and getting better. It’s just a great environment for people to play a hilarious game.” – Senior Leo Fan (president)
DUNGEONS AND DRAGONS CLUB:
Meet Mondays in room 4203, 3-4pm
“We gather together to play Dungeons and Dragons, a tabletop roleplaying game where you get in groups, make characters and then roleplay through a story.” – Sophomore Braden Sumers (president)
FCCLA:
Meets the first monday of every month in room 5137, 3-4pm
“FCCLA is a club for people interested in pursuing fashion and/or culinary. We encourage students to join so they can have a chance to learn about competitions and leadership.” – Junior An Doan (president)
GIRLS WHO CODE:
Meets Thursdays in room 5123, 3-4pm
“Girls Who Code is a unique environment for girls –or guys –to come together to code, have a fun time, and collaborate on projects. No coding experience is needed to participate!” – Senior Rachel Hines (president)
GREEN TEAM:
Meets the 2nd and 3rd Monday of every month in 5219, 3-4pm
“We do environmentally friendly projects, doing our best to better our community. It is an opportunity for debate and discussion on environmental topics and create arts and crafts projects.” – Junior Nimra Sajeel (president)
FUTURE HEALTH PROFESSIONALS (HOSA):
Meet the last Thursday of every month in room 6105, 3-4pm
“We prepare for a state competition and focus on a variety of subjects involved in health care. Even if you aren’t sure if you want to go into the medical field, HOSA is a great place to try it out. Also, not everything is about science and medicine.” – Junior Nidhi Achanta (president)
JUNIOR STATE OF AMERICA (JSA):
Meets Tuesdays in room 5140, 3-4pm
“JSA is a debate club focused on politics, current events, and activism. Anyone can join, you don’t need to have experience with politics or public speaking.” – Senior Charlotte Ury (president)
KEY CLUB:
Meet every other Monday in room 5136, 3-4pm
“Key club is a service group. We get together and volunteer for community service hours. It’s also a way to develop leadership skills and make new friends.” – Senior Kimberly Chu (president)
MATH CLUB:
Meet Tuesdays afterschool in room 5237, 3-4pm
“We compete in math competitions and solve math problems. The math problems are different from those we do in class, so you can expect to learn new strategies.” – Junior Nidhi Achanta (president)
MODEL UNITED NATIONS:
Meets Wednesdays in room 5235, 3:50-5:15pm
“Model UN is a club where students replicate the United Nations! We represent countries, and pick topics to debate, enhancing our debate skills and broadening our knowledge of international politics.” – Junior Vanshika Sindhu (co-president)
PHYSETTES:
Meets Mondays in room 4211, 3-4pm
“A general physics club focused on uplifting women in scientific fields, while still including everyone.” – Senior Chiara Bettelli Oukka (secretary)
PHYSICS CLUB:

PRISM CLUB:
Meet Thursdays in room 5102, 3-4pm
“Prism club is for people to come together regardless of their sexual identity. We just have fun with people who share similar experiences and understand you beyond a basic level.” – Senior Anthony Ou (president)
ROBOTICS:
Meets Tuesdays and Thursdays in room 6105, 3-6pm
“There are a variety of things to do in robotics: coding, wiring, 3D-modeling, machining, video production, marketing, and more. It’s a welcoming environment and there’s a spot for people of all interests.” – Senior Vachan Shah (president)
SCIENCE OLYMPIAD:
Meets Mondays in room 4201, 3-4pm
“Science Olympiad is a club for anyone who loves science. We include all different aspects of science like biology, chemistry, physics, and more. You can find a community of like-minded science lovers here!” – Junior Vanshika Sindhu (officer)
STUDENTS FOR CHANGE:
Meets every other Thursday in room 4212, 3-4pm
“We’re hoping to bring more information and awareness about different cultures and bring diversity and inclusion to our school. We’re building a space in which everyone feels included and looked after.” – Junior Kruthi Duraisamy (co-president)
SMASH CLUB:
Meets Mondays in room 5102, 3-4pm
“Smash club is a chill club where we get to hang out and play video games with very few rules.” – Sophomore Nathaniel Geronimo (president)
