VOICE Mentor Program

VOICE+Mentor+Program

The VOICE Mentor Program provides support to students who need some extra help navigating academic, social or emotional challenges during the year.  VOICE is in every school in the district, reaches all ages, and has served almost over 450 kids this school year!  VOICE’s high school mentors are a big part of the program’s success, and we’d like to acknowledge the Patriot students who are mentors to students at Newcastle Elementary, Apollo Elementary, and Briarwood Elementary.

They are: Emily Bassett (12), Katie Blauvelt (9), Alisha Compton (11), Tori Cormier (10), Emma Decasa (9), Lynn Hong (9), Nathan Jackson (11), Mehul Krishna (12), Makenna Thomas (10), and Vincent Ung (11). Together they have volunteered over 350 hours mentoring students over the last couple of years alone! These mentors have participated in required training and commit to meeting with their student for one hour each week throughout the school year.  They are the bread and butter of the VOICE program, and we are grateful for their consistent and caring guidance, and for being such strong role models for their mentees.
