Tribute to Dawson Solly
April 18, 2016
Dawson Solly was a Liberty graduate of 2012, and passed away on February 10, at the age of 21 from complications of flu and Type 1 Diabetes. During his four years at Liberty, he played bassoon for the band, was a sports editor for the Patriot Press, and was involved in football, basketball, and track. He worked hard in both sports and academics at Liberty where he earned multiple scholar athlete awards and at Carroll College, MT where he was on the dean’s list and will receive his Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering. He was also a member of the Carroll Track and Field team as the first ever hammer thrower. Solly is still remembered for his constant effort to cheer others up with a silly joke or just a goofy smile.
