Cookie Recipe

While everyone is at home, here’s a chocolate chip cookie recipe you can try!

1 cup room temperature butter (2 sticks) 

½ cup white sugar 

1 cup light brown sugar 

2 large eggs  

2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour

2 tablespoons cornstarch

1 tsp baking soda 

½ tsp baking powder

¼ tsp salt 

2 cups chocolate chips (or as much as you want)


  1. Wash your hands! 
  2. Preheat oven to 360 degrees Fahrenheit
  3. Combine the dry ingredients in a bowl
  4. Cream butter and sugars together in another bowl until light and fluffy
  5. Beat in one egg at time, making sure the first egg is incorporated before adding the second 
  6. Add the dry ingredients and mix
  7. Add chocolate chips and mix 
  8. Scoop 1-2 tablespoon sized balls of dough onto a baking sheet*
  9. Bake for 12-14 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. 
  10. Let cool for five minutes on the baking tray. 

*Any extra dough can be frozen and baked at a later date.
