Michael Shultz

Michael is an integral member of the orchestra. He leads both his section and the orchestra through commitment and example. Everything is based on his part (no pun intended) and his reliable performance. Michael is constantly communicating his high level of intellectual engagement through both performance and puns, making rehearsal light-hearted and enjoyable for everyone.

Mr. Tanner says “In jazz band, everything revolves around the bass and drums. With Michael on bass, the band has someone super reliable and this always makes the band sound better. Michael also has a very strong understanding of music theory which allows him to improvise bass lines on the fly.”
