Olivia Van Ry

It is our immense pleasure to select Cadet Lieutenant Commander Olivia Van Ry as LHS NJROTC Medallion winner. Olivia has been a critical part of the Liberty Naval JROTC program since her arrival as a freshman in 2016. She quickly advanced in rank and made herself a vital part of the unit by getting involved and taking on more leadership responsibility with each passing month. She has been a critical member of the Color Guard Team rising to team Captain in her junior and senior years and guided them to Puget Sound Division Championships both years. Olivia’s outstanding performance in all areas resulted in her selection as the Cadet Commanding Officer during the first semester. In this position she was responsible for planning and executing our Cadet Orientation and Basic Leadership Training Camp. She is goal driven and does what is necessary for the unit, not herself, to achieve success! She is a true team player. – Captain John Deehr
