Matthew Rubenstein

I first met Matthew his freshman year when he joined Math Club. Right away his determination to help Math Club grow was obvious. He was dedicated and serious about competing. Since the club president was going to graduate, I pulled Matthew aside and asked if he would be interested in leading math club next year. This lead to now, he is still the club president and has helped math club flourish; from the club that was barely able to register in time for a competition to hosting not one but three math competitions senior year. I have had the opportunity to work with Matthew all four years of his high school experience including being his teacher junior year for AP Calculus BC and this year for AP Statistics. He catches onto concepts extremely quickly, maintains being a top math student at Liberty and has demonstrated awesome leadership skills in the math department. Well done Matthew!! – Angie Kruzich
