“I try to be involved in things at school. I’m a part of clubs and activities like cross country and DECA, which I really enjoy. I love DECA because business is really interesting, and I love competing because there’s a lot that you can do in a competition and so you can an area that fits you. I got Top 10 in my event in Nationals, and while I don’t know what exact place yet, it was a great experience. DECA has influenced my career plans; I originally joined because I didn’t know if I wanted to go into business, but now I know that I definitely do.”
