Editor’s Pick: Two albums worth checking out

Lucas Maier and Sarah Bluhm

Christmas in the Dogghouse: If you’re listening to an album by Snoop Dogg, you probably have a fair idea of what you’re getting into. This album probably won’t change anyone’s opinion of him; easygoing, low-key rap verses, this time with a holiday twist. From soul influenced songs to hood rap, the album boasts a surprisingly wide variety of styles and collaborators. However, please note: this might not be the best song to play at the family Christmas party. Nevertheless, Snoop provides a fun, contemporary twist on holiday music. If you’re into leaves of green that aren’t mistletoe, this might be the Christmas album for you.

25: Breaking the Vevo record for most views in the first 24 hours of release Adele’s new single Hello garnering a total of 27.7 million views in a 24 hour period.  This is a great sign for Adele’s upcoming Album 25, which is scheduled to be released November 20. Describing ‘25’ as a “make up record”, Adele stated that, “I’m making up with myself. Making up for lost time. Making up for everything I ever did and never did.”  On her new album, Adele is producing record breaking singles that will make you miss someone you hardly know, and we can’t wait to see what this new album has in store.
