Womens tennis team has their sights set on sending nine varsity players to KingCo, including senior Jenny Adams, who made it to state last season in doubles with graduated senior Kristy Braunston, and is working to get back to state again this year.

“[State] was amazing. It’s something I’ve never been able to accomplish before so it’s a really big deal for me,” said Adams.

In addition to Adams’ own efforts, the team is working towards its goals and already has an win in an exhibition game.

“We are looking to be more competitive this year… there are already a lot of positive signs!” said Adams.

If the team can beat out Sammamish, Juanita and Mount Si, the team will place fourth in the league and be able to send their goal number of players to KingCo.

“Last year we had had a few strong players, but this year our team as a whole is really

strong,” Adams said.

As well as working on their competition, the entire team is working on including many of the new members of the team.

“We want to make everyone to feel welcome the team,” said junior Sadie Demme.
